hi fellas,
as some of you are aware, i've started to write an xkeys driver for linux. my goal is to have similar programming functionality as the xkeys windows software.
i guess i just want to know what the best way for the gok to access the device. the two options that i can think of are:
(1) via the emulated the mouse/keyboard interface, in which case i
wouldn't have to do anything other than what i initially had planned.
(2) directly reading the switch interface, which would require a patch
to gok.
i'm leaning towards option (1) as i don't currently have access to a computer that is fast enough to run gnome2/gok. is this the best approach? option (1) will be done no matter what, but would option (2) even interest you guys? what does gok currently use for switch input? does the xkeys device currently work with gok?
ben
